The seventh session of the Open-ended Working Group of the Basel Convention (OEWG 7) was held in Geneva, Switzerland from 10-14 May 2010 at the Geneva's International Conference Center.

Delegates met from 10-14 May 2010 at the Geneva's International Conference Center to discuss on various topics, including on the: cooperation and coordination among the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions; Strategic Plan and new strategic framework; review and strengthening of the operation of the Basel Convention regional and coordinating centres; the Basel Convention Partnership Programmes; Indonesian-Swiss country-led initiative to improve the effectiveness of the Basel Convention; the development of technical guidelines; the enforcement of the convention and efforts to combat illegal traffic; and other topics of interest for the Basel Convention.
